Penult is now available for pre-order in the AtariAge store. Note the turnaround time mentioned on the product page linked below. As of this writing, it may take two or more months before pre-orders are shipped. The boxed copy of the game includes the cart, a 36-page manual, a poster, and a cloth map of Faradur.
A new public demo has been released. There were a lot of changes “under the hood”, but the main visible difference is the changes I made to dungeon vision code.
After working on dungeons and the public demo, I’ve gone to work on other areas of the game. I’ve added code to allow the player to obtain a ship, and am adding cities and other content only reachable by ship. Next will likely be seamonsters and combat from aboard the ship.
